The Program
No prescribed
path.
An art career rarely develops in a straight line. It can move through exhibitions, commissions, partnerships, entrepreneurship, public work, community, education, or opportunities that did not exist when the work began.
Black Rabbit Projects exists to help artists better understand those possibilities while developing the clarity and structure to make decisions around their own practice.
Created by artist and Black Rabbit founder Benny Bing, the program draws from firsthand experience across exhibitions, public art, licensing, corporate partnerships, entrepreneurship, and community building.
This is not a course. It is a working environment where artists examine their practice, test ideas, share knowledge, and move from intention toward execution.
Sessions take place at Black Rabbit Gallery in Regent Park, Toronto.

The inaugural cohort has been selected.
Six artists will take part in the first Black Rabbit Projects cohort, beginning a twelve-week period of group learning, individual mentorship, accountability, and focused development around their practices.
Program Format
How it works.
Each month centres on an area shaping a creative practice, explored collectively and then applied through individual mentorship to each artist's own work and circumstances.

Participants meet for two group sessions and one individual mentorship session each month.
The program concludes with a group exhibition at Black Rabbit Gallery, giving the cohort an opportunity to bring the work developed during the program into a public context.
The structure is designed to accommodate artists balancing careers, freelance work, family responsibilities, and other commitments.
